Lemmie Battles

Gospel singer Lemmie Battles has shared the stage with the who’s who of gospel music, such as the Chicago Mass Choir and Dr. Bobby Jones. She recently joined Gospel Mix Radio on Spotlight Night to showcase her newest single “I Am Black and I Matter.” Lemmie describes the song as something that was born out of the pain of social injustices in America in recent years. “God created all of us in His image and His likeness,” says Lemmie, “… it’s not about color and it’s not about race, it’s about God’s amazing grace. God wants all of us to stand together, not against each other.” Listen to the full interview and catch a snapshot of her new single right here.
