Just in time for the resurrection season, the Mount Olive Baptist Church Choir proudly announces the debut of their new project, Reign, a vibrant celebration of the glory and majesty of Jesus Christ. The Texas-based choral ensemble, comprised of both seasoned vocalists and younger members, delivers a powerful musical response to the scripture, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”

Led by songwriter and choir director Darius Alexander, the group brings the spirit and energy of their weekly worship experience to a broader audience through this dynamic release.

“It’s a natural response,” says Alexander. “I am blessed to have a group of people who not only love God, but love to sing His praises and are united in the spirit of togetherness. This is just how we do it every Sunday at Mount Olive, and we wanted to share our Sunday worship experience with others.”

Reign is further elevated by the distinctive vocal stylings of Lillian Lloyd and the production expertise of Stellar Award–nominated choir veteran Demetrius West.

“It’s good to work with people who derive joy from the things that they do,” says West. “I have a special place in my heart for choirs and Southern region singers who deliver their heart and soul in every performance. There was a time when people went to church for one or two things, and hearing the choir sing was definitely one of them. Mount Olive restores my faith in bringing that spirit back at full capacity.”

Reign will be available on all major digital service providers beginning Friday, March 13. The choir will also launch a promotional campaign throughout early spring, with additional performances and appearances expected.
