Sandra, LaTanya, Rochell and Timbla Clark grew up in church enjoying the sounds of the church choir. They developed their tight harmony from years of singing in support of their father who is their Pastor. Life ensued, and the girls grew up and got married, but the power of the music remained. This remarkable group has teamed up with some industry veterans to produce a project with huge potential.
Paul E Irving, a composer for the Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar Mass Choir, penned the song as a reassurance that we serve a God on whom we can Depend! The producer for the song is Robert (Baabe) Irving III, internationally known for his keyboard playing and producing for jazz legend Miles Davis. The primary jazz musicians include Robert Irving III on piano and keys, Charles Heath on drums and Michael Manson on bass. The full version of the song
includes a reprise featuring an awesome guitar solo by Phil Upchurch, Jr. Add to the mix The Sonic Portraits orchestra and a horn section featuring members of Earth Wind & Fire’s Phoenix Horns and the results are simply astounding!
Serving as co-producer for the song is Denver A. Wright who is most recognized for his major hit with The Collective titled “If You’re Gonna Worry, Don’t Pray” and featured the vocals of Tony Terry.
Depending On You will be included on Clarkwise’s debut CD titled Memories Treasure & Song.
